Welp the song is obviously "In The Jailhouse Now" written by Jimmie Rodgers. I doubt it's him on here because these audiodisc things came out in the 40's and he died in 1933. The same year that the "other" Jimmie Rodgers was borned. It could be anybody. People from all over recorded their own stuff on these things. I've got one where somebody recorded "The Thing" by Phil Harris playing on their record player. If you think it's somebody besides some grandpappy sitting in the backyard with his new audiodisc recorder mechanism thingamajig then you should find and collect all the different versions of "In The Jailhouse Now" from all the country artists that recorded it during the 1940's and 1950's and compare.
well gee thanks for your insight on this matter, oliver.i guess i will pull everything off here in shame.
Nice comment dude, obviously your too cool for this stuff.I love finding those old Audiodisc's, they always seem to have something good on them. Most entertaining one's I've found would have to be a pair of them, that between the four sides was a completely recorded wedding ceremony from the mid '50s in Tacoma.
