This is not actually Wes Dakus or The Rebels, in spite of what it says on the label.
It's actually a studio band led by Ben Benay (the writer of the songs), from Gary Paxton's studio.
The story goes that Wes needed one last single for his Capitol contract, but the band had more or less dissolved, so they just got these tapes and released them as by them.

i think its more like they copied an eric burdon & the animals song. i'll give you a hint .there was a music festival held there.
