Yes, Nicol definitely was Ringo's deputee in Sweden and Holland. He comes from Liverpool and had his own band, The Shubdubs, with whom he recorded his best known song, a real great ska version of "Humpty Dumpty". After 4 singles for Pye 64/65, he gave up on trying to make it as afrontman, and took the backseat in Peter & Gordon's backing band. If you're interested in obscure UK 60s 45s, check my online-only series "Tommyknockers' Beat Club" (4 volumes and more to come)on spurensicherung.blogspot.com best wishes, the Lolly Pope
